Musicmakers is blessed with two distinct generations of hard workers. As the old guard decomposes, the youngsters compose themselves to guide the company into the newest technology and creative ideas.

The Regenerates

Our General Manager, the only music major among us, web-master, philosopher, and humorist drives a 1983 WV camper called “The Time Machine”. Plays anything with strings or keys.
Trained in guitar-making, loves to design new harps. Jake has a great eye for design and proportion, as well as a good ear for music. Plays guitar and sings like Bob Dylan.
Our detail expert pays our bills, pays us, keeps track of daily sales, and helps organize the myriad crazy and confusing parts of this operation. Played violin in school.
Our newest addition, was trained in stringed instrument repair & construction. He also has an artistic eye for graphic ads and catalog layouts. Plays guitar and piano.
Started with us in 1991, learning woodworking from scratch to become a top-notch craftsman, expert finisher, and all-around production master in the shop. Plays foosball.

Sherry
Our customer service expert and untiring order-taker, order-packer, and parts orderer drives a sports car and flies to Vegas at the drop of a hat. A closet harper.
Our Shop Foreman, a trained cabinetmaker, started working with us in 1989 and has refined our instrument designs and streamlined production. Plays banjo very privately.
Our Founder loves creativity and enjoys helping people of all ages make stuff. Plays guitar, hammered dulcimer, a little harp, banjo, and other oddities.
Jerry’s better half quit working full time several years ago but remains a valued advisor, counselor, and travel companion. Plays the radio.

We do contract some part-time staff for specialty work.
