What does the Reverie Harp sound like?

We post these sound files just to give you an idea of the sound. Please keep in mind that we have to sacrifice sound quality to keep the size of the files small. So these sound files represent the actual sound of the instrument much like a snapshot of the Grand Canyon represents the actual canyon!

Reverie Harp - Strummed (913 KB) - Played with fingers - quiet, soothing, and relaxing (Reverie Tuning)

Reverie Harp - Plucked (863 KB) - Played with a guitar pick - louder and brighter, more energetic (Reverie Tuning)

Reverie Harp - Hammered (1.1 MB) - Played with hammered dulcimer hammers - lots of energy and very rhythmic (Reverie Tuning)

Reverie Harp with Mandolin (3.2 MB) - Reverie Harp accompanies mandolin playing Down in the Valley (Stars and Moon Tuning)

How is the Reverie Harp tuned?

Our standard Reverie Tuning is a pentatonic tuning in the Key of C. The Reverie Tuning is available in several different keys. We also provide a two chord tuning (Stars and Moon tuning) that works well to accompany simple folk songs.

Click on any tuning below and it will open a PDF file of that tuning chart. This chart may be cut out and placed under the strings to assist with tuning.
