Lighten Up: Go digital with your Gig Book (Vanessa League)
Tired of lugging around a heavy gig book to every event and not having the music for a request? Come see how easy it can be to have all your music in one place, at your fingertips, and as light as your notebook. We will be working with the iGigbook app and showing several ways to upload your music; showing how to set up a gig set; how to add notes; turning pages with your phone; and taking a photo of a piece of music and creating a file from it all with your notebook.
You do NOT have to have the iGigbook app to attend this workshop. Vanessa will demonstrate using this app and you can see if it feels right for you. If you do want to get the app ahead of time, you'll find links for both iOS and Android here.

About the Artists
Vanessa League has played concerts on her Voyager Harp in Belfast Northern Ireland, Ennis Ireland, Munich and Bamburg Germany and many places around the United States. It is difficult to fit her style into any particular genre because she incorporates many musical flavors in her arrangements. Come listen to her arrangements of sweet traditional and new Israeli music.
Hannah Flowers is a professional harpist and singer from St. Paul, Minnestoa. She fell in love with the harp as a small child and was classically trained before discovering Irish music in her teens. Since then she has had the opportunity to travel to Ireland multiple times to study harp with masters such as Michelle Mulcahy, Grainne Hambly, and Elaine Hogan. She has competed internationally at Fleadh Cheoil na Eireann in Sligo, Ireland in 2014. In 2016 Hannah was awarded a "Next Step Fund" Grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council to study ancient Gaelic harp in Kilkenny, Ireland. Most recently, she received a "Gaeltacht Summer Award" from Fulbright Commission to study the Irish language for five weeks in Glencolumcille, Co. Donegal. A trained vocalist and traditional singer, her passion is using her harp playing to accompany herself while singing traditional songs in English and Irish. Hannah holds a BA in music."
