Our harp desk offers an easy and elegant way to place your sheet music right where you need it. The harp desk clamps securely to the pillar and is guaranteed not to slip, even with a heavy music book. The adjustable padded bracket fits most lever harps and won't mar the finish. No need to alter your harp in any way.
If you understand how to glue wood parts together securely, round over the sharp, square corners nicely, and apply a simple clear finish, then you can build this music rack. It is important to get good glue joints on this project so the desk will hold a good heavy music book.
The desk itself is 16" wide and 10-3/4" tall - big enough to hold just about any book. And the entire desk weighs just over 2 pounds.
This bracket fits pillars between 1" and 2-3/4" thick and will accommodate a T-brace up to 3-1/2". When completed, the harp desk weighs just over 2 pounds.

Cool design, works great!
We put together this kit, and it was an easy assembly. It fits on both my Voyageur (Musicmakers) as well as my Dusty Strings harp, which has a T-brace. It is nice and lightweight, and works perfectly for sheet music sheets or books. I love using it.
The only issue I have is that I like to use my extra large Samsung tablet on it (this tablet holds all my sheet music). I keep the tablet in its cover, and clip the cover to the stand. However, the tablet is heavy enough to offset the harp's center of gravity, making the harp a little front-heavy. On my Voyageur, this is not a big deal (its feet stick out far enough to help stabilize the harp), but on the Dusty Strings, it is a bit more precarious - especially on carpet. Playing the harp is fine with this setup, but when the harp is not being played, I have to be extra careful and place the front of the harp feet on something more stable than carpet, and be extra careful around the harp. It does helps to remove the tablet each time.

Great Kit
The instructions for this kit are uncommonly well done. Very clear and easy to follow. The kit is well made and requires minimal sanding. I'm halfway done assembling the kit but I don't expect any problems. A moderately handy person should have no problems. You will need sandpaper, glue(see instructions), hammer, diagonal wire cutters(to clip nails). Some wood clamps are handy, but you could manage without them.

Fabulous kit experience
This was a perfect project for these stay-at-home times. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for someone without much woodworking experience, and the results are definitely something I can be proud to own. This made me want to try another Musicmakers kit!

Harp Desk Kit
I love this Harp Desk! I bought the kit for my Jolie harp. The kit arrived complete with parts, detailed instructions, and was a snap to put together. You can put your music on your harp, and it is close that you can see it, and makes playing a delight. I would recommend this kit for purchase.
