Orders are generally processed and shipped within 1 business day. We will notify you if we expect a delay of more than 3 days.
Foreign Shipments - Any import duties and/or local taxes are NOT included in our shipping costs. You will be responsible for any import fees and/or taxes upon receipt of your shipment.
Our primary goal and our greatest hope is that our customers will successfully complete their project and end up with a performance quality musical instrument that will give them years of musical enjoyment.

IF YOU PURCHASED A FINISHED PRODUCT:
A. Not satisfied with the product?
We allow returns of finished products still in mint condition for a refund or credit within 30 days of purchase. Such refunds will be for merchandise returned only, not shipping, handling or insurance fees. If you ordered custom features on the product, such as inlays, carvings, extra veneers, special stains, etc., we may charge a re-stocking fee and deduct that from your refund or credit.
B. Did the product break or warp under normal use?
We will repair or replace, within five years from date of purchase, an instrument that we built if the materials or workmanship are found to be defective during normal use. String breakage, damage from accident, abuse, neglect, exposure to high heat & humidity or water, is not covered. This warranty covers the cost of parts and labor, but you will be responsible for sending the instrument to us in Minnesota for repairs, and for returning the repaired instrument back to you.
IF YOU PURCHASED A DIY KIT:
A. Need replacement parts?
Please notify us of the problem within 30 days of delivery. We usually have individual parts available for our kits, but we may ask you to pay for replacement parts if you damaged them during construction. If the problem is minor, we may ask you to return the original part(s) in exchange for replacement(s). If we packed incorrect or defective parts, then we will pay for sending replacements. If, however, we have discontinued production of the particular kit you purchased, we may not be able to supply replacement parts.
D. Need help with construction?
We are happy to finish assembling a kit for you. The basic fee is the difference between the kit price and the finished price shown in our current catalog (regardless of the price you paid for the kit). If you have done some of the assembly, we may be able to reduce the construction fee, but that depends on the quality of your work. If you want us to do only part of the construction, please check with us about pricing.
E. Desire a refund?
We give refunds, or credit toward other merchandise, for kits returned within one year of purchase, regardless of reason for return or stage of construction. You must present proof of purchase from MUSICMAKERS. Such refunds will be for merchandise returned in good condition only, not parts that have been damaged or poorly assembled. We don’t refund shipping unless the problem was caused by our error. Please contact us for the proper return procedure.
