The Regency Harp
The 34-string Regency Harp was produced from 2000-2016
You can order replacement strings for this harp here.
We still provide blueprints and hardware if you want to build this harp using your own woods.
The Regency Harp had 34 strings beginning on C2 (2 octaves below middle C). The harp was known and loved for it's big, robust sound and clear tone. The design was somewhat unconventional in that the pillar was not directly tied to the body. Instead, the pillar was supported by a large, thick, platform bass. This freed up the soundboard at the bass and is what gave this harp it's impressive voice. It did, however, make the harp quite heavy.
