Learning How to Play
Each flute comes with a an instructional booklet and DVD. Topics covered in the DVD include:
- Basic Fingering
- Getting Even Sound
- Creating Melody
- Developing Rhythm
- Breath Control
- Care of the Flute
The booklet expands on these topisc and included additional information not covered in the DVD. There is also a comprehensive collection of fingering charts so you can find any note you would ever need.

The fingering chart at left shows you how to play the C Pentatonic Scale. This is the same scale that is used on our Reverie Harp so it is pretty straight forward if you want to play these two instruments together.
The black holes indicate they are to be covered with your finger. Use the fingers on your left hand to cover the two holes above the leather tie and the fingers on your right and to cover the bottom three holes.
So - to play the note 'G' - place your index finger over the top hole. Blow gently through the mouth piece and experiment with air pressure until you create a pleasing tone. Try to find the sweet spot.
